Foreseen activities

The present agreement foresees students exchange activities. The duration of the exchanges will be planned by both institutions according to the defined curricula of students taking part in the exchange; the exchange period will last not less than one semester and no more than one academic year.

 

Persons involved

Every academic year up to 30 semester places are available to students at the other university. This means in one calendar year up to 15 students may enroll at the other university for 1 semester each. Alternatively, in one year, up to 15 students may enroll at the other university for 2 semesters each.

 

The Home University is responsible for screening and selecting Exchange Students for this Exchange. In general the Home University will provide the Host University with four months’ notice of participating Exchange Students.

 

Tutoring

Each institution will designate a professor responsible for the exchange program.

 

The designated professor will follow students who take part in the exchange until their departure. He/she will be in contact with them for the entire exchange period; he/she will verify, upon students' return, that the procedures for academic recognition of activities developed at the partner institution have a successful conclusion.

 

The designated professor will help students coming from participating institutions in setting them up in his/her institution. He/she will periodically supervise the progress in the study program during the exchange period. He/she will verify that offices in charge of students' mobility at his/her institution will provide to fill out, in the right way, the necessary documents for the recognition by the home institution of the activities developed during the exchange period.

 

Study program and Academic recognition

Curricula of students who take part in exchange activities will be agreed upon before students' departure and they will be approved by the competent academic bodies.

 

The full recognition of activities developed during the exchange period will be guaranteed; transfer of academic credits. These will be decided by both parties and determined by the competent academic bodies.

 

For MA Students

 

School of Government (SG) of CUFE selects and sends visiting MA students who majored in Public Administration to the Institute of Communication and Public Policy (ICPP) of USI. The students must come back to CUFE to continue their studies after completing the visiting program.

 

The same procedure applies to MA students enrolled at USI, spending a visiting period at CUFE.

 

Programme Description.

SG and ICPP will jointly identify the specific courses to be included in the exchange. See enclosed Annex

 

Program Period

Visiting students may participate in the program for one semester or an academic year of study at USI.

 

USI will manage the visiting postgraduates according to the management regulations of non-degree students of USI during the visiting period. USI should provide SG, CUFE with the performance certificate of each participating student upon completion of visiting period. CUFE will transfer credits for students based on its standards and procedures.

The same procedure applies to USI visiting students in mobility at CUFE.

 

ECTS scales

The two parties will produce the transcripts of records of the exchange students reporting also the marks according to the ECTS scales in Europe and the corresponding system in China.

 

Regulations

Students enrolled as Exchange Students are subject to all the rules and regulations of the Host University, and the laws and procedures of the state in which that university is located.

 

Safety

Each institution shall maintain policies of insurance and safety for staff and students within the law of its own country.
